A screening of video and short films from School of Visual Arts’ MFA Art Practice program, hosted by Electronic Arts Intermix.
Presenting MISSINGLINKS, a screening of short films and videos on the evening of July 27th. The screening is a collection of works made within and in proximity to a new master’s program at School of Visual Arts dedicated to the study of Art Practice, that is, the holistic physical and theoretical process of participating in art. The screening will be held at Electronic Arts Intermix, beginning with an interactive new media work by Seirin Nagano and featuring the films and videos of thirteen other artists ranging from new to established. The works are set in a moment straddling the technological divide that defines the contemporary generation of artists in the light of those pioneers who broke ground in new media.
